Delhi University slipped by a spot to the 12th position this year while Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) improved its ranking by 16 points.
The 4-year undergraduate course has been approved by a majority. The Executive Council has approved a number of reforms under the National Policy on Education (NEP), including a four-year undergraduate program (FYUP).
It also said that final-year students who would not be able to give open book exams (OBE) due to the Covid situation, should be given another chance and the test should be held in two phases, according to a statement.
Four members of the varsity’s Academic Council (AC) claimed that the supernumerary seats will be like management quota as the power to select candidates has been left with principals and the university.
Abha Dev Habib, treasurer of the Delhi University Teachers’ Association, said they received mails throughout the day from students who faced difficulties.
The high court issued notice to the owner of CSE Academy to appear before it on July 27 and inform about the preparedness of centers for both mock tests and main exams.
The Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) said teachers will not fill the form as it feels that the feedback could be used to draw a conclusion in favour of online exams.
The DU administration, however, has assured the students that it would work on their concerns, but maintained that online submission of forms was the only way out given the present circumstances.
