The world learned more about the evolution of the human species thanks to Darwin. His argument that every grouping of life descended from a common ancestor is regarded as a fundamental idea in science. He was honoured by being buried in Westminster Abbey and is regarded as one of history’s most important and significant figures. Charles Darwin Birthday

On February 12, 1809, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, Darwin was born. His ancestors were well-known. His mother, Susannah Darwin, and his father, Robert Darwin, were both successful doctors and financiers. His grandpa, who chose theories of evolution and common ancestries in his “Zoonomia,” inspired his passion of natural history. Darwin was baptised in the Anglican St. Chad’s Church in Shrewsbury in 1809, but he continued to attend chapel with his mother and brothers at the Unitarian church.

After graduating from high school in 1825, Darwin went to the University of Edinburgh Medical School, the top medical school in the United Kingdom at the time, but he immediately lost interest in medicine and stopped his studies altogether. He then joined his father and worked as a doctor’s apprentice. He began participating in their disputes and identifying with students studying natural history. In the Firth of Forth, he assisted Edmond Grant with his research into the morphology and life cycles of marine invertebrates. Grant also praised Lamarck’s theories on evolution, which Darwin found to be reminiscent of his grandfather’s journal. He became a geologist as a result of his five-year journey on the H.M.S. Beagle after graduation.

He was surprised by the discoveries made during the expedition, such as the locations of fossils and wildlife. He then conducted extensive research on his findings and, in 1838, proposed the idea of natural selection. In 1859, Alfred Russel Wallace was also penning the same hypothesis, which led Darwin to team up with him and publish both of their hypotheses. With an adjustment being the prevailing description in the study of multiformity in nature, his work established the evolutionary origin. He continued to research plants and write a number of books about them. He studied earthworms and their impact on soil for his final publication, “The Formation of Vegetable Mould Through the Actions of Worms.
