DaBaby Biography:

Early Life

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, the American-born DaBaby, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 22, 1991. Regretfully, the artist maintains his personal life private, therefore, information about his family members is unknown. Nevertheless, we are aware that DaBaby spent the majority of his formative years in Charlotte, North Carolina after his family moved there in 1999.

Career

During his childhood, DaBaby finished his elementary schooling at Vance High School, which was subsequently renamed Julius L. Chambers High. 2010 saw him graduate from this school. After that, he entered for two years of study at the University of North Carolina, a public research university in Greensboro. But in his third year, DaBaby decided to leave the university, later admitting that he had simply enrolled for his parents’ benefit. He, however, desired to follow a music career. During this time in his life, the musician drew influence from the music of prominent figures in the rap industry, like 50 Cent, Eminem, and Lil Wayne.

In 2014 and 2015, DaBaby began to seriously pursue his love of music. His first mixtape, “Nonfiction,” launched his career. He went on to release further mixtape series, including “God’s Work,” “Billion Dollar Baby,” and “Baby Talk.” He took on the stage name Baby Jesus during this period, although he eventually changed it. When he agreed to a deal with South Coast Music Group, it was his big break. He later joined Interscope and Jay Z’s record company, Roc Nation, releasing successful albums and singles throughout the years.
