Henri and Yvonne Keller are his parents, and he assisted them in the bakery at their patisserie, Patisserie Keller. Keller enrolled in Strasbourg’s Ecole Hoteliere at the age of 16 after deciding he wanted to pursue this as a career. He developed his professional talents while working in a variety of eateries, soaking up all the knowledge and skills like a sponge. Keller received training from some of the best chefs France has to offer, including Paul Haeberlin, Gaston Lenotre, Paul Bocuse, and Roger Verge. These outstanding cooks were aware of Keller’s abilities.

Career

Vergé dispatched Keller to open the now-closed Sutter 500 restaurant in San Francisco in 1982. He made a name for himself in San Francisco as the executive chef and co-owner of Fleur de Lys by 1986. Later, he launched a fine-dining burger joint in Las Vegas, where patrons can order $60 Rossini Burgers. American Kobe steak, sautéed foie gras, and shaved truffles are the ingredients of this burger. Experts assert that this burger is divinely delicious, and Keller subsequently launched a second Fleur de Lys in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. In addition, he owns the French-inspired steakhouse in St. Louis called SLeeK.

Keller’s first book, “The Cuisine of Hubert Keller,” was released in 1996. The following year, he was named America’s greatest chef in California and received the esteemed James Beard Foundation/Perrier Jouët prize. Fleur de Lys received a Michelin star in 1996. Keller went on to write “Burger Bar: Build Your Own Ultimate Burgers,” his second book, in 2009, and “Hubert Keller: Souvenirs,” his third book, which was released in 2012.

Both domestically and internationally, Keller is regarded as an extraordinary chef. Keller’s extraordinary culinary abilities have brought him countless honors, but he maintains a low profile for someone of his ability. The chef lives with Chantal Keller, his spouse.
