On February 4, 2015, American rapper OG Maco accused him of inappropriately stealing black culture. OG Maco said that Keith Ape and his crew made fun of him in the music video for “It G Ma” by exploiting negative stereotypes about black people. In addition, he claimed that they had taken portions from his debut solo album, “U Guessed It,” without giving him credit.

OG Maco began getting royalties from “It G Ma” on August 13, 2015, and he has since deleted his tweets accusing others of cultural infringement. He declined Keith Ape’s invitation to collaborate on a remix of “It G Ma”.
