Toler’s fortunes in the court show genre improved significantly when she assumed the position of arbitrating judge for “Divorce Court,” the longest-running court program and one of the longest-running syndicated programs. Following the September 11, 2006 premiere of the 24th season of the court program, Toler assumed the bench opposite Mablean Ephriam, with whom he had a good rapport.

In 2007, in addition to hosting “Divorce Court,” she elevated her television profile by assuming the role of presenter of the prime-time couples counseling program “Decision House” on MyNetworkTV. She joined the team as co-executive producer of the 2009 syndicated limited-city series “Wedlock or Deadlock” after seeing a scene from “Divorce Court.” In 2008 and 2009, Toler made a bi-monthly contribution to News and Notes, a weekly news program broadcast on National Public Radio.

She describes how this ultimately assisted her in dealing with emotive bench passengers. She further explains how to implement these concepts in one’s everyday existence. 2009 marked the publication of her second book, “Put It in Writing,” which she co-wrote with Deborah Hutchison. This book contains agreements applicable to awkward but commonplace situations involving family and friends, such as adult children paying homage to their parents or transferring funds.
