Early Life

The eldest of three sisters, Moon Byul-yi, also known as Moonbyul, was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, on December 22, 1992. In 2011, Moonbyul was admitted to an art school, and in 2014, she joined the South Korean girl group MAMAMOO. She later rose to prominence as the group’s lead performer and signed with RBW. With the release of the single “Selfish,” which also featured vocals by Red Velvet member Seulgi, she went on to make her solo debut in 2018. Moonbyul is a well-known rapper, singer, composer, dancer, radio host, and other artist in Korea and around the world today.

Career

In February 2020, Moonbuyl released her debut EP. Her debut album, “Dark Side of the Moon,” has made her a well-known and accomplished female rapper across the globe. In January 2022, she released her second EP, “6equence,” and teased its arrival with the pre-release single “G999.” This song, which features Mirani, was released in December of 2021. She also released another pre-release song, “Shutdown,” later that month. In April 2022, Moonbyul released the single album “C.I.T.T. (Cheese in the Trap)”. These include “Bada Boom” with Solar, Mismolly, and Turns for the album “Street Dance Girls Fighter (S.G.F.)
