Polo G’s meteoric rise to prominence continues to astound and astonish people everywhere. In roughly four years, he went from being one of many SoundCloud rappers to launching his own record company, and his success does not appear to be decreasing anytime soon. Polo G was born Taurus Tremani Bartlett in Chicago, Illinois on January 6, 1999. His astrological sign is Capricorn, and he is African-American. He has three siblings, including fellow rapper Trench Baby, whose parents are Taurus Bartlett and Stacia Mac. Polo G has been rapping since he was a youngster and has posted several tracks online, but he decided to devote his life to music on what would have been his first day at Lincoln University to study broadcasting.

His musical career took off shortly thereafter. Polo G opened a SoundCloud account, joining the many other aspiring rappers who were publishing their songs on the website. Polo G, however, managed to stand apart. The track that marked his breakthrough was ‘Finer Things’ (2018), which he wrote while spending time in prison and which collected millions of plays in a short period of time. 2018 was a phenomenal year for Polo G, but 2019 would be much better. Beginning the year, he and fellow rapper Lil Tjay released ‘Pop Out,’ which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The popularity of the song led Columbia Records to sign Polo G, who then released four more singles and his debut studio album, “Die a Legend,” which peaked at number six on the Billboard 200. Polo G was hospitalised in August due to a drug overdose, and his close friend Juice Wrld passed away in December due to the same causes. Fortunately, these occurrences caused him to stop using ecstasy and Xanax.

Polo G anticipated much greater achievements and milestones in the years to come. In 2020, he released his second studio album, titled “The Goat,” which opened at number two on the Billboard 200 and had a handful of songs that reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. He also appeared on numerous songs by other rappers. Polo G launched his own record label, Only Dreamers Achieve, in September of that year (ODA). Forbes has included him in their ’30 under 30′ music category list to kick off his 2021 on a high note. In the same year, Polo G’s music was featured in the Oscar-nominated film “Judas and the Black Messiah,” his song “Rapstar” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, he released a single with renowned rapper Lil Wayne, and he released his third studio album, “Hall of Fame,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 200, as well as a deluxe version of the album in December.
