Early Years

On May 18, 1995, Prayaga Martin was born in Kochi, India. She was born as Prayaga to Rose Martin. She is a member of a Malayali lineage. Prayaga Martin was born to Jigi Martin and Martin Peter, who were married. She concluded her education at the Ernakulam, Kerala, India-based Bhavans Vidya Mandir. She received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and English literature from St. Teresa College in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. From the time she was in elementary school, she has had a passion for dancing and has participated in all traditional activities held at colleges and institutions; she later became a professional classical dancer.

Prayaga Martin was in seventh grade when she made her acting début in Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded, a film directed by Amal Neerad. In 2012, she appeared in Ustad Hotel, starring Dulquer Salmaan. In 2016, she was cast as the main actress in Sajan K. Mathew’s Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya. In 2017, she was selected opposite the renowned Malayalam actor Jayasurya in the comedy-drama film Fukri. • Though she made her Malayalam film debut as a child actor in 2009, Prayaga’s big break came in 2014 when she was cast as the main actress in the Tamil film ‘Pisaasu.’
