In compositions like “Stronger” and “Salt Water,” she addressed sexuality, trauma healing, and spirituality within the context of her experience as a sexual assault and abuse survivor. The evaluations for Aurora’s debut album “Lucid” were overwhelmingly favorable. It was listed as one of the “Best Albums of 2019” by NPR. Noisey has selected “Stronger” by Aurora as one of the “100 Best Songs of 2019.” In January 2022, Aurora announced the publication of her second studio album, “Asha’s Awakening.” The concept album was composed through the eyes of a Punjabi space heroine. The album was preceded by the singles “Rush” and “Secret,” with American rapper Vince Staples on “Secret.” “Asha’s Awakening” was published to critical acclaim on February 11, 2022.
