National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the date of filling the online form for seven exams, including the entrance exam of UGC NET and JNU.
The nationwide lockdown to combat coronavirus pandemic has been extended till May 3, 2020, the Covid-19 disease is spreading continuously across the country. Due to the lockdown, many professional and competitive examinations have been canceled in the country. Besides, all educational institutions of the country have also been closed. Keeping recent development in kind, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the date of filling the online form for seven exams, including the entrance exam of UGC NET and JNU.
In this regard, the NTA has issued a notice that the last date to fill the form for JNU admission, IGNOU Ph.D. and MBA entrance examinations, All India Hotel Management Examination has now been extended till April 30, 2020. Apart from this, UGC NET and CSIR NET and AYUSH PG admission dates have also been extended. Earlier, the NTA had also postponed the JEE Main in April and NEET-UG 2020 in May given the prevailing situation in the country.
The number of persons infected with coronavirus in the country has surpassed the 15000 barriers. On Saturday, the country witnessed the highest number of 1371 infections in a single day. Maximum 426 patients also recovered in one day. These figures are according to the information given on covid19india.org and from the respective state governments. According to the Union Ministry of Health, there are a total of 15712 reported Covid-19 positive patients in the country. Of these 12974 are under treatment, 2230 have been cured, while 507 have died.
