Prof Rafiuddin, Department of Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed as the Dean, Students’ Welfare, AMU, with effect from January 7, 2024, till further orders.
Engaged in teaching and research for over 30 years, Prof Rafiuddin has published more than 90 research papers in the journals of international repute, including RSC Advances, Journal of Electochimica Acta, Desalination, Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering Chemistry, Ceramics International, Journal of Sol‒Gel Science and Technology, Journal of Porous Materials and International Journal of Nanoparticles, Colloids and Surfaces ‘B’ and ‘A’, etc.
He is the recipient of Nehru Centenary British Fellowship in Chemistry awarded by Government of India and British Council, UK in 1992 and Post-doctoral Fellowship in the Chemical laboratory, University of Kent at Canterbury, England from 1992-1993.

He has been elected as University Court Member for two consecutive terms, and served as the Provost, Mohammad Habib Hall and Member, Executive Council and Academic Council, AMU.
