Wednesday marked the third and final day of Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s tour of Jan Samvad (public dialogue) programmes in the Kurukshetra district. The PM visited the Pehowa region’s Barna, Thana, and Karah Sahib villages.
In Pehowa’s Karah Sahib village, Chief Minister Khattar declared that the scarcity of Punjabi subject teachers will soon be resolved.
“In order to address this (the shortage of Punjabi instructors), teachers will be required to teach additional subjects in addition to Punjabi. The recruitment process will begin as soon as the formalities are completed, said the chief minister.
After listening to the candidates who passed the Punjabi PGT and HTET exams during his dialogue with the public in Karah Sahib, he made this decision. The status of Punjabi as a second language in Haryana.
Earlier, Haryana’s chief minister Khattar inaugurated a transport service from Pehowa to Karnal via Abhimanyupur and Anjanthala.
The chief minister ordered the deputy commissioner of Kurukshetra to renovate the office of the Barna village panchayat. “Every gramme panchayat is required to conduct a meeting every three months. The development projects whose proposals are to be approved and sent by village panchayats will be completed no matter what, the chief minister said in Barna village.
CM Khattar also praised the thirty active self-help groups (SHGs) in Barna village and interacted with their female leaders.
Notably, approximately 30 SGHs in Barna village have saved Rs 20 lakh through self-generated employment opportunities in the fields of milk sales, beauty parlours, boutiques, clothing, dairy, utensil stores, etc.
Khattar stated, “Not only have the self-help groups of Barna village achieved economic independence, but they are also raising the economic standard.” In addition to caring for their own families, the members of these organisations are doing an outstanding job of providing employment opportunities to the most needy families. Your efforts are crucial to improving the financial condition of vulnerable families.”
The women told CM that by providing self-employment, they are significantly contributing to the improvement of their economic situation.
During his Thana visit, the prime minister made a pronouncement regarding the complaint of an elderly woman regarding the lack of bus stops in the village. For the convenience of the citizens, at least eight buses from the Pehowa and Kurukshetra depots will make a halt in the village, as stated by the chief minister, Khattar.
