IIM Visakhapatnam: Monday, the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam kicked off a five-day on-campus management development programme for Hindustan Shipyard Limited’s mid-level managers. The objective of this programme is to educate managers on evolving management concepts, practises, perspectives, and methods. Twenty-three HSL administrators are participating in the programme.
N Ashok Kumar, general manager (prod-HS) of HSL, was the principal guest at the opening ceremony. In his inaugural address, Ashok Kumar emphasised the significance of continuous learning for working professionals. He stated that IIM Visakhapatnam is a prestigious institution, and that the participants are extremely privileged to be able to attend this programme and learn from the institute’s esteemed faculty.
Prof. MV Anuradha, dean (administration) of the IIMV, addressed the program’s officials and participants with a concise history of the Institute. She added that the mission of IIM Visakhapatnam is to foster and cultivate entrepreneurial leaders within organisations. She also highlighted the ongoing partnership between IIMV and HSL in initiatives aimed at developing capacity.
Prof. Balaji Subramanian, the director of the programme, briefed the participants on the training modules and programme outcomes.
