Jamshedpur: Loyola School emerged as the winner of the annual Inter-School Quiz Competition organised to mark the 118th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata.

While the team of Aryan Mishra and Ashwin Raj from Loyola School emerged as a winner, the team of DAV Public School, Patelnagar comprising Raman Bhardwaj and Md Shoaib were adjudged the first runner-up. The team of Rajendra Vidyalaya comprising Shaurya Gupta and Zeedan Ismail were the second runner-up position.
Teams of JH Tarapore (Dhatkidih), Little Flower School and SDSM School of Excellence got consolation prizes for reaching the final round.
Ruchi Narendran, the wife of Tata Steel managing director who was the chief guest of the event, gave away prizes to the winners. Addressing the gathering, she congratulated all the participants and praised the enthusiasm of students and teachers.
She shared about her interaction with JRD Tata and asserted that the legacy of JRD Tata shall be carried forward for the younger generation.
Siddharth Mishra, chief marketing and sales, Tubes Division, Tata Steel was the quiz master. There was a preliminary round for the quiz followed by the finale. The top two winning teams will be taken for a joy ride around Jamshedpur in a helicopter tomorrow, July 29.
