Lucknow University’s undergraduate and postgraduate second semester examinations were washed out on Friday due to rain. Along with Lucknow, the examinations of both the shifts were postponed at more than 100 examination centers of Rae Bareli, Sitapur, Hardoi and Lakhimpur. The candidates appearing in the second shift examinations were informed in time, but the students of the first shift had to face the problem.
The university was informed by tweeting at 7.21 in the morning about the postponement of the examination due to rain, but the information could not reach most of the students of the morning shift and a large number of students reached the examination center by getting wet. Where they came to know that the examination to be held today has been postponed. On Friday, the examination of other courses including M.Com, B.Sc, B.A.L.B. was held in two shifts. The biggest problem happened to those candidates whose centers did not reach the information. The students cited the postponement of the examination, the officials present at the examination center said that there was no information.
Now the exam will be held on 28 September
Due to rain, the date of examination of Lucknow University postponed on September 16 has been announced. Controller of Examinations Vidyanand Tripathi informed that all the examinations postponed on 16th September will be held on 28th September in predetermined centers and shifts. Other exams will be conducted as before.
