MBBS: Konni Medical College gets NMC approval for 100 MBBS seats, classes to start this year

MBBS : The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved 100 MBBS seats for the new Konni Medical College, Pathanamthitta in this academic year 2022-23. This is the second medical college in Kerala to get approval from NMC this year. Giving information about the approval, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said, It is a matter of great pleasure and pride that 100 MBBS seats have been approved in Konni Medical College. Classes will start here from this academic year. The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIFBE) will help in starting the classes in the medical college soon.

The Kerala minister said, “This year two medical colleges, Idukki and Konni, have got approval for a total of 200 new MBBS seats. Apart from this, two more nursing colleges are being started. Kollam Medical College and Manjeri Medical College. Its processes have been completed.

In the month of July, the NMC approved the opening of Idukki Government Medical College in Idukki district of Kerala with the admission of 100 MBBS students. Announcing the approval of Idukki Medical College, Veena George had said that “It is a great achievement that now 100 seats have been approved. It was earlier just 50. The government plans to have more medical colleges in the coming days.” To bring advanced facilities.
