FMG Exam 2022: Final year medical students (who have received degrees from their educational institutions on or before 30 June 2022) who have returned to India due to the Corona and Russo-Ukraine war, will be allowed to take the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) exam. The National Medical Commission gave this information on Friday.
The commission, in a public notice, said that after passing the FMG exam, students will have to undergo Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMAI) for two years instead of one year. The NMC said foreign medical graduates would be eligible for registration only after completing two years of CRMI. These students have been given this exemption once. This will not be done in future.
Indian students who were in the final year of their undergraduate medical course (who had to leave a foreign medical institution due to COVID-19, Russo-Ukraine war etc.) and who subsequently received a course completion certificate from their institution on or before 30 June 2022 have already got, they will be allowed to appear in the FMG exam.
