NEET 2022: 3495 MBBS seats will increased said government know State Wise MBBS Seats in Medical Colleges – NEET 2022: Good News

NEET 2022: There is good news for the students who want to do MBBS by clearing NEET. Preparations are on to increase 3495 MBBS seats in 16 states of the country. Maximum 700 seats will be increased in Rajasthan and 600 in Madhya Pradesh. However, these seats will be increased in old medical colleges. The situation regarding the new colleges is not clear yet. The Central Government has given this information in the Lok Sabha. Union Health Minister Manusakh Mandaviya told a question by Dr. Heena Gavit and Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, MPs in Lok Sabha that government medical colleges will be upgraded under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS). Under this, MBBS seats will be increased in existing medical colleges. He said that 3495 MBBS have been approved in 16 States/UTs.

The Union Minister said that State Medical Colleges would be upgraded under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS). There medical PG seats will increase and new PG subjects will start. Under this, 5930 seats have been approved in 22 states / union territories in two states.

NEET: MBBS and PG seats will not remain vacant in medical colleges, government is bringing new system

The government has said that at present there are 91927 MBBS seats in all government and private medical colleges of the country. Out of these 48012 seats are in government and 43915 in private medical colleges. Tamil Nadu has the maximum number of 10725 seats. It is followed by 10145 seats in Karnataka at number two and 9895 MBBS seats in Maharashtra at third. Uttar Pradesh has 9053 seats.

NEET 2022 exam was conducted on 17th July 2022 across the country. Around 17 lakh students are waiting for its answer key and result. After the result, the counseling process will start for 91,927 medical seats available in the country.
