What will be unique about PM Shri Schools?

PM Shri Schools will use a modern, transformative approach to education. Under the new education policy, these schools will provide discovery-oriented education with a greater emphasis on learning.

Smart classrooms, sports facilities, and modern infrastructure will be available at these schools. This will benefit tens of thousands of students.

These will be model schools, fully compliant with the National Education Policy (NEP). The Centre will provide them with funding.

The most recent technology will be used for teaching and learning in computer labs, laboratories, libraries, and other locations.

There will be play schools in these government schools. Education will be provided in PM Shree schools from class 3 to class 12.

PM Shree schools will be established in two blocks of each district across the country. Vidya Samiksha Kendra will be linked to these schools. This centre will evaluate the school’s, teachers’, and students’ performance.

These schools will use a discovery-oriented and learning-centered teaching method. Children will learn new skills. They will be motivated to conduct experiments, conduct research, and make new discoveries. Instead of memorising, they will be taught to comprehend.

These schools will be transformed into green schools. Their campuses will be designed in such a way that everything from water conservation to waste recycling and electricity conservation will be considered. There will be art rooms as well. Children will become more inventive.
