SSC MTS Notification 2023: Tier 2 exam scrapped, exam pattern changed

Both Sessions 1 and 2 will last 45-45 minutes. The first session will be worth 60 points, and the second session will be worth 75 points.

The exam pattern and selection process for SSC MTS Havildar Recruitment 2022 have been completely changed. Tier-2 will no longer be available at SSC MTS (Paper-2). Previously, there was a descriptive paper called Paper-2 in MTS Recruitment. The SSC MTS and Havildar exams will now be administered in two sessions. Both will have to be attempted. Session 1 will consist of 20 questions in each of Reasoning and Math, with no negative marking. Session 2 will consist of 25 negative-scored questions from General Awareness and English Language. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Both Sessions 1 and 2 will last 45-45 minutes. The first session will be worth 60 points, and the second session will be worth 75 points.

Selection

The first session’s performance will be evaluated. Those who are successful in this will be required to review the session 2 paper. Candidates for MTS positions will be evaluated based on their performance in session 2.

For Havildar positions, those who pass the written exam will be called for a physical examination. Those who pass will be evaluated based on their performance in the session 2 examination. PET PST will only be qualifying.

The cycle test has been removed from the Havildar selection process. There will only be a race to walk quickly now. Males must cover 1600 metres in 15 minutes. Women must walk 1 km in 20 minutes.

There are 11409 open positions, and applications are being accepted.

For the positions of MTS and Havaldar, 11409 vacancies have been eliminated. There are 10880 MTS positions and 529 Havildar positions available. The application process for this recruitment has begun with the publication of the notification at ssc.nic.in. The deadline for online applications is February 17, 2023.

Age Limit

MTS has age limits of 18 to 25 years and 18 to 27 years.

Havildar – There are two age groups available: 18 to 25 and 18 to 27.

The educational requirement for both positions is a 10th pass.
