Swami Vivekananda Jayanti 2023: Vivekananda Quotes, Messages on National Youth Day

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Speech: Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Speech

The principal, respected teachers, and my dear colleagues are all present. My greetings to everyone. Today is the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a great thinker, philosopher, young ascetic, inspiration for youth, and ideal personality. I bow and pay homage to India’s great spiritual master. Comrades! Along with Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, the country is commemorating National Youth Day today. Swami Vivekananda’s ideas and teachings have inspired millions of young people. Swami Vivekananda’s sayings work to energise young people. His youth is an inspiration to all of the country’s youth. This is why the Government of India designated his birth anniversary as National Youth Day. The Government of India declared Swamiji’s birthday to be National Youth Day in 1985.

Swami Vivekananda was an exceptionally bright and inquisitive child. But he used to yearn for the attainment of God. He was very eager to learn about God. His interest in spirituality grew stronger after meeting Ramakrishna Paramhans. Swami Vivekananda became known after accepting Sri Ramakrishna as his spiritual teacher. Friends, Vivekananda ji’s life teaches us to respect the Guru as well. Swami Vivekananda was also a true Guru devotee because, despite his fame, he always remembered his Guru and honoured him by establishing the Ramakrishna Mission.

Swami Vivekananda was the person who introduced India’s spiritualism to the world and raised India’s profile abroad. When people talk about Vivekananda, the speech he gave in 1893 at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago, America, is always brought up. Swami Vivekananda’s speech at the World Religions Conference in Chicago in 1893 began with the address “Brothers and Sisters of America,” and the house echoed with applause for two minutes. Since that time, India and Indian culture have gained worldwide recognition. His was the final speech. Vivekananda, who was only 30 years old, taught the world the lesson of brotherhood from the Hindutva perspective. The speech given by this monk in the Parliament of Religions captivated the entire world.

National Youth Day 2023: Date, Theme, History, Importance

This straightforward speech can be delivered on Swami Vivekananda Jayanti.

Swami Vivekananda, in addition to being a sanyasi, should be a good orator. He communicated the words of ancient religious texts to people all over the world in simple language. That is why his words are still relevant today. He popularised Sanatan Dharma, Vedas, and Indian Gyan Shastra throughout the world.

Swamiji used to say, ‘Arise and awake, and do not stop until you achieve your goal.’ He believed that the greater the struggle, the greater the glory of victory. Friends, on this Youth Day, let us not only remember him, but also incorporate a small part of his knowledge, words, teachings, and character into our lives. Nobody can stop us from being successful if we all apply even a small portion of what he has taught us.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone for giving me this opportunity to speak about the great spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda. Jai Bharat, Jai Hind.
