During the CBI investigation, 223 candidates were appointed to the Uttar Pradesh Secretariat on a provisional basis.
UPPSC APS Recruitment: The CBI is investigating the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s Additional Private Secretary (APS) 2010 recruitment, while the government has sought legal advice on the demand of 26 selected candidates. Meanwhile, the Competitor Students’ Struggle Committee has requested that the joining process be postponed until the CBI investigation into the recruitment is completed. In APS 2010, a total of 249 candidates were chosen. During the CBI investigation, 223 candidates were appointed to the Uttar Pradesh Secretariat on a provisional basis.
Meanwhile, the CBI has written a letter to the State Chief Secretary informing him that large-scale irregularities in the investigation of Public Service Commission recruitments have been confirmed in APS 2010. Following this, the state government, in issuing orders for a CBI investigation into the APS 2010 recruitment, halted the recruitment of 26 candidates until the investigation was completed.
Avneesh Pandey, President of the Competitive Students’ Struggle Committee, stated in a letter to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and Advocate General that a conspiracy is being hatched to join the corruption-selected candidates in the recruitment in collusion with government and Commission officials. A high-level investigation should be launched, and any selected candidate should be required to serve until the CBI investigation is completed.
