UPSC Mains Exam 2023: Thursday, the Delhi High Court refused to halt the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) decision to accept applications for the Civil Services (Main) Examination in 2023. Justice Chandra Dhari Singh dismissed the petition filed by a group of civil service aspirants requesting a suspension of the “Detailed Application Form-1” issued by the UPSC for the examination on 10 July 2023.
“Request denied,” the judge stated. The application was included in the petition lodged by unsuccessful applicants requesting the UPSC Prelims answer key for 2023.
The petitioners’ attorney asked the court to halt the invitation to apply for the mains application, arguing that failure to do so would render ineffectual their primary petition, which pertains to the preliminary round results of the UPSC CSE exam.
The petition, filed by attorney Rajeev Kumar Dubey, stated that the petitioners were dissatisfied with the “arbitrariness” of the UPSC in conducting the entire recruitment process.
