World Mental Health Day Observed at AMU

World Mental Health Day: In order to promote mental health awareness and involve the community in this effort, the Department of Psychiatry and College of Nursing at JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), collaborated to host a programme on World Mental Health Day at the OPD Trauma Centre and the Department.

To disseminate accurate knowledge about concerns related to mental health among the audience, a skit was performed, a quiz was given, and a competition for creating posters was held.

In his keynote lecture, Professor RK Gaur of the Department of Psychiatry emphasised the importance of fostering a friendly atmosphere for people dealing with mental health issues.

There is a lot of ignorance about mental health in the community, according to Dr Farha Azmi, Principal, College of Nursing, AMU. Observing this day provides an opportunity to raise awareness among the general public.

The event was attended by Drs. Reyaz, Jitendra, Faisal, Vijay Laxmi Verma, Mrs. Pamela Joseph, Mrs. Deepti Minj, Mrs. Mahvish Masih, Mrs. Rubeena Naz, and Mrs. Reshma Lutfi.
