Trachtenberg has previously directed the Amazon films "10 Cloverfield Lane" and "The Boys" pilot episode.
Director Dan Trachtenberg from ‘Prey’ joins ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5: The director of the film “Prey,” Dan Trachtenberg, has been announced as the Season 5 director for “Stranger Things.” Netflix announced the news on Wednesday morning.
Trachtenberg has previously directed the Amazon films “10 Cloverfield Lane” and “The Boys” pilot episode. He also directed the episode “Playtest” of “Black Mirror” for Netflix.
Linda Hamilton, known for her role in the “Terminator” films, will also be joining the ensemble, as was revealed shortly before the announcement of Trachtenberg’s casting.
Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Cary Elwes, and Robert Englund are also featured in the series. Their responsibilities have not been disclosed in detail.
In February 2022, Netflix renewed “Stranger Things” for a fifth and final season. Due to a strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA), however, production for this season was delayed.
Despite having written a portion of Season 5, the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, decided to support the strike. Season 5 has no verified premiere date at this time.
“We hope a fair agreement will be reached shortly so that we can all return to work. Until then, this is all. The Duffers’ statement at the time included the hashtag #wgastrong.
“Stranger Things” is produced by The Duffer Brothers, Upside Down Pictures, and 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers are the primary producers, writers, and directors of the programme. Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Curtis Gwinn are also executive producers for 21 Laps Entertainment.
Netflix has just announced that an animated adaptation of “Stranger Things” has been ordered to series. This is in addition to the conclusion of the programme.
