Tamil Nadu Class 10 results: Pass percentage slightly increases; Perambalur district tops the list

The pass rate for Class X students under the Tamil Nadu state board increased by 1.32 percentage points from the previous year to 91.39 percent.

8.35,614 out of 9,14,320 students who took the exam passed it. Of the 4,55,017 females who took the exam, 4,30,710 passed. The pass rate is 94.66 percent. 4,04,904 (48.16%) of the 4,59,303 males who took the examination passed it. The pass rate of females is 6.5% higher than that of boys.

Perambalur district had the greatest pass rate in the state, at 97.67%. It was followed by the districts of Sivaganga (97.53%) and Virudhunagar (96.22%).
3,718 schools out of 12,638 attained a 100% pass rate. There are 1,026 government institutions included.

The pass rate for private schools is 97.38 percent, while the pass rate for aided schools is 92.24 percent and the pass rate for public schools is 87.45 percent.

English had the greatest pass rate, with 98.93% of students passing the exam. It was followed by social science and science with respective pass rates of 95.83% and 95.75%. 95.55% of language students passed the exam. Maths had the lowest pass rate, with 95.54 percent passing.

Mathematics had the highest percentile, with 3,649 students achieving a perfect score, while English had the lowest, with 89 students achieving a perfect score. In science, 3,584 students earned perfect scores, while 320 students earned perfect scores in social science. There are no centums in language this year.

Of 10,808 candidates with diverse abilities, 9,703 passed the examination. The success rate is 89.77%.

The pass rate among offenders is 42.42 percent.
