AICTE releases list of Online platforms for students

A 21-day lockdown was carried out to prevent coronavirus infection in the country which ended on 14 April. This lockdown is further extended until 3 May.

AICTE has released a list for students keeping in view lockdown to prevent Coronavirus infection. There is a list of 41 online platforms (website or portal). These platforms are open to access. That is, students can study for free on these websites or portals. This list includes everything from the portal itself to the websites of some foreign institutions.

Some special websites and portals

The list includes homegrown national digital libraries, self-paced online courses, national knowledge networks, national programs on technology enhanced learning (NPTEL), Info Port, Talks to Teacher to overseas Oxford Open, Cambridge University Press and Southern Connecticut State University and Links to the portal are given.

Lockdown extended

A 21-day lockdown was carried out to prevent coronavirus infection in the country which ended on 14 April. This lockdown is further extended until 3 May.

All educational institutions closed

Schools, colleges, universities and educational institutions have been closed across the country. School, college and university examinations and competitive examinations have also been postponed. In most states, except for students of 10th and 12th, students of the rest of the class have been promoted to the next class without examination. CBSE board students have also been promoted.

Online courses

Most of the institutes are providing online study facility to the students so that the students do not waste their time. As part of this effort, AICTE has also released a list of 41 online platforms where students can study easily. This way the lockdown period will be used properly for their entire time.
