IIT Delhi Closed until 31st March 2020: The Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT) Delhi has asked its students to vacate the college hostels by Sunday in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak.
While in a notification issued on Friday the institute asked its students to vacate all residential premises by Sunday, the institute has also decided to postpone or cancel all seminars, symposium and any other events, scheduled to take place on its campus due to rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

“There is no need to vacate the room though. Please fill the entry and exit register of the hostel concerned and the mess rebate form. This applies to students currently living in Nalanda and IP Apartments and in off-campus hostels in Katwaria Sarai and Jia Sarai also,” pointed out an official communication issued by the Dean of Student Affairs Rajesh Khanna.
It might be mentioned that Delhi government has also started displaying the advisories in ISBTs, bus depots, DTC and cluster buses to inform the commuters about the symptoms, mode of transmission of coronavirus and Do’s and Don’ts for the disease.
