Conflict Resolution Day is annually observed on October 19, which falls on the third Thursday of that month. Furthermore, advocating for the implementation of conflict resolution strategies across various domains—education, households, enterprises, municipalities, and the judicial system. In addition to recognizing the significant contributions of pacific conflict resolvers, the day aims to foster national cohesion through simultaneous celebrations throughout the nation and the world.
Conflict Resolution Day, an event that has been observed for more than fifteen years, is concurrent with the American Bar Association’s ABA Mediation Week. The establishment of this week was an extension of the initiatives put forth by numerous local, state, and national organizations, among them the Association for Conflict Resolution. In addition to other organizations, the ABA and A.C.R. promote the significance of mediation and conflict resolution.
