It is important to reflect on all we have gained and lost over the past 12 months as the year draws to a close and we start keeping a mental journal of everything that has transpired.
Now that we’ve started the search party for every item we’ve lost this year, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work.
Can you recall your initial experience using a public lost-and-found box? All we could find in that ramshackle cardboard joint was a single shoe, some old keys, a sharpener, and a loose tie. These boxes have a long history dating back hundreds of years. We don’t need an excuse to shop at thrift stores because, well, it’s economical and environmentally friendly. However, since we’re discussing the value of misplaced items, why not visit our neighborhood thrift store and make a claim on someone else’s possessions?
