The fanbase for “The Vampire Diaries” and its spin-off series is still prospering despite the show’s conclusion, and Somerhalder’s character has been a fan favourite since the show’s premiere. His image as a “bad boy” and Somerhalder’s dashing visage contribute to the character’s appeal.
