On May 25, 1983, National Missing Persons Day was established to recognize and raise awareness of all the missing person cases that exist around the nation. Every year, thousands of people disappear without a trace. These individuals could be adults or youngsters, and while many of them might reappear in the future, some will always remain unknown.
