The day is commemorated by attaching a star to one’s clothing and explaining that it honours a deceased “little star.” You can also encourage your peers and coworkers to participate in the day and honour children whose lives were cut tragically short.

But how are children most prone to die? Unfortunately, the answer is yes in many respects. Children are often the most vulnerable population in conflict zones. They are killed by weapons, starvation, extreme temperatures, and lack of medical care.
