Govt jobs in Bihar: Approval of 1176 new posts including teachers and non-teaching staff

A total of 459 posts including 370 academic and 89 non-teaching posts have been created in Patliputra University, Mungesh University, Purnea University and Patna University.

The state cabinet has approved the creation of a total of 1176 new posts in various universities of the state and various other departments including Purnea Medical College and Hospital. For the appointment on these new posts, further action will be taken by the concerned departments. Its approval was given in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. Consent has been given on 19 proposals of various departments in the meeting.

A total of 459 posts including 370 academic and 89 non-teaching posts have been created in Patliputra University, Mungesh University, Purnea University and Patna University. At the same time, the posts of six teachers and six non-teaching staff have been created in Veer Kunwar Singh University for Indian History and Asian Studies. After the meeting, Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat told in the press conference that a total of 423 new academic and non-teaching posts have been sanctioned for Government Medical College and Hospital, Purnia. These include 135 posts for college and 288 for hospital. At the same time, 21 for Bihar College of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Kankarbagh, Patna, 43 for Viklang Bhawan Hospital, Kankarbagh, three total 67 posts for Artificial Organs Manufacturing Center Kankarbagh. At the same time, 155 and six posts of Assistant Electrical Engineer have been created under the Fire Service of the Home Department. The cabinet has also approved the creation of 54 posts of Additional District and Sessions Judge for Special Court under Rape and POCSO.

Among state universities: 471

In Purnea Medical College : 423
In various health institutions: 67

In Home Department : 161
Additional District and Sessions Judge: 54

Medical students’ scholarship increased

Scholarships have been increased for the students of state government medical colleges and physiotherapy students doing internship. The scholarship of students of Government Medical Colleges, Patna Dental College and Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathy has been increased from 15 thousand to 20 thousand per month. At the same time, the scholarship of the students of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy has increased from 11 thousand to 15 thousand per month. 1723 students will get the benefit of this increase.

60 crore to farmers’ diesel subsidy

The cabinet has given approval for advance withdrawal and expenditure of 60 crores for giving diesel subsidy to farmers for irrigation of crops in conditions like drought due to erratic monsoon and less rain in the state. So that, farmers do not face any problem in payment of diesel subsidy. It is to be known that earlier also 29 crore 50 lakh had been approved for giving diesel subsidy to the farmers. Apart from this, the cabinet has given approval of 60 crores.
