UPSC EPFO Notification 2023: The UPSC has issued a detailed notification (UPSC EPFO Vacancy 2023) for a large-scale recruitment in the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). A total of 577 positions have been filled. There are 418 Enforcement Officer (EO)/Accounts Officer (AO) openings and 159 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) openings (APFC). Out of the total 418 EO/AO posts, 204 are unreserved, while 57 are reserved for SC, 28 ST, 78 OBC, 51 EWS, and 25 for Divyang. At the same time, 68 of the 159 APFC positions are unreserved, while 25 are reserved for SC, 12 ST, 38 OBC, 16 EWS, and 8 for Divyang.

Enforcement Officer/ Accounts Officer
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institute or university.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be given to the reserved category as per the rules of the Central Government.
State Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institute or university.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be given to the reserved category as per the rules of the Central Government.
Probation period – two years.
Selection Process:
Pen paper based written test and interview.
The final selection of candidates for the posts of EPFO Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer by UPSC will be done on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of marks of both written examination and interview.
The weightage of the marks of written test and interview will be 75:25.
Written Exam Pattern for EO & AO Posts
The exam will be of two hours. One-third mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.
Syllabus- General English, Indian Freedom Struggle, Current Events and Developments, Indian Polity and Economy, General Accounting Principles, Industrial Relations and Labor Law, General Science with Knowledge of Computer Applications, General Mental Ability and Quantitative Aptitude, Social Security in India.
For APPC Post
The exam will be of two hours. One-third mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.

Center on first come first serve basis, first application will be beneficial
There will be a limited number of candidates at the examination centers except Dispur, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur. Other exam centers will be available on first come first serve basis. The earlier one applies, the better are the chances of getting the exam center of his choice.
