Outlook and Google Calendar can be synchronized if the accounts are linked. To link an account, open Outlook and click File > Account Settings. In the Accounts list, select the account you want to link. Under Linked Accounts, select Yes. Outlook will then ask you to confirm the link. After linking an account, any changes made in one calendar will be automatically updated in the other.

If you only have access to one calendar, you can manually sync events by following these steps:

Open the calendar you want to sync in Outlook. On the Home tab, in the Calendar group, click Auto Sync Events.

In the Auto Sync Events dialog box (or on the More Actions tab), click Synchronize With Google Calendar.

Select a Calendar dialog box, select Google calendar.

Type your email address to send event invitations field, type your Gmail address or Google+ profile ID.

If you do not have a Gmail address or Google+ profile ID, enter your work email address instead. Click OK. Events that are not synced will be grayed out in both calendars.

If you only have access to one calendar and want to use it as your default calendar.
