Since then, pasta has become a staple in Italian cuisine and is now enjoyed all over the world. World Pasta Day was created in 1995 by the International Pasta Organization (IPO) to celebrate this delicious food and its place in our culture.

Different Types of Pasta

There are over 600 different types of pasta, each with their own unique flavor and texture. The most common types of pasta are spaghetti, macaroni, fettuccine, and rigatoni.

Spaghetti is a long, thin noodle that is often served with tomato sauce. Macaroni is a short, tubular noodle that is often served with cheese. Fettuccine is a flat, ribbon-like noodle that is often served with Alfredo sauce. Rigatoni is a large, tubular noodle that is often served with meat or vegetable sauces.

Pasta can be made from wheat flour, semolina flour, or rice flour. Wheat flour pasta is the most common type of pasta. Semolina flour pasta has a slightly coarser texture than wheat flour pasta. Rice flour pasta has a lighter texture and is lower in calories than other types of pasta.
