Gulkand or rose petal jam is nothing but the sweet preserve of rose petals and it is an ayurvedic medicine.

Gulkand or rose petal jam is nothing but the sweet preserve of rose petals and it is an ayurvedic medicine. It is an Indian traditional recipe used for skin, constipation during pregnancy and kids, acidity, gastritis, ulcer, indigestion, dysmenorrhea, acne, foul body odor, palpitation, hypertension, nosebleed, and stress. Gulkand is thus known to treat many health issues and is prepared from fresh rose petals and sugar. Gulkand is the best medicine for the following diseases.

CONSTIPATION:

Gulkand is best known for its treatment in mild to moderate constipation. Women can take gulkand during pregnancy because it is considered to be safer. In India, it is widely used during pregnancy and Gulkand is a natural remedy for kid’s constipation. By taking gulkand for several days, it will cure constipation.

HEARTBURN AND GASTRITIS:

Almost acidity is a common issue worldwide. Some may feel a burning sensation in throat, heartburn, sour mouth or throat, indigestion and stomach ache. You can get rid of all these mentioned problems by taking gulkand in your daily life. It is suggested to eat gulkand every day at night before bed. It treats ulcers and gastritis.

NOSEBLEED:

ANAL ISSUES:

Some may suffer from burning sensation after a bowel movement. Gulkand can help this condition by reducing acidity in the body which is the main cause of the burning sensation.

HEMORRHOIDS:

Gulkand helps in reducing the swelling of hemorrhoids or piles by providing mild laxative action in constipation. It also provides strength to the veins which help in restoring the natural elasticity of the veins. It is only effective in mild cases of hemorrhoids but it is highly effective in bleeding piles.

CANCER:

Cancer patients undergoing radiations therapy or chemotherapy are advised to take gulkand which can reduce the side effects of these therapies.

SUNBURN:

By the regular intake of gulkand, it averts the sunburn or sun poisoning which may occur commonly in the summer season. In addition to this, it reduces the impact of an excess of heat on the body.

On the whole, Gulkand is good for your health and treats most of the health issues. The only disadvantage is for diabetes patients. It is rich in sugar content and so it can increase the blood sugar level. So, be careful before eating gulkand.
