Every year on the third Sunday of May, on World Baking Day, everyone is encouraged to bake something. This year’s date is May 21. Are you someone who bakes frequently? Or, have you never baked anything at all? If you are the latter, you should bake something today. Sweet or savoury, pretzels or crackers, you must at least once indulge in cookery. You will probably enjoy it, particularly if you favour baked goods. Prepare yourself for this delicious experience.
The background of World Baking Day
Unilever established World Baking Day to advertise their margarine products. World Baking Day was observed on May 17, but it should be observed on a Sunday to allow people more time to produce. The first World Baking Day was celebrated on May 20, 2012, the third Sunday of May. The day is intended for people to prepare something and share it with others to demonstrate their concern. Therefore, we chose to celebrate World Baking Day on the third Sunday of May.
Baking can take place in an oven, on heated ashes, or on hot stones. It has traditionally been undertaken at home by women and in bakeries and restaurants by men. Economically and culturally, baked goods, particularly bread, are a common and essential food, so baking is considered a fundamental skill. Bakers are those whose profession is to prepare baked goods; pastry chefs are trained in the craft of preparing bread, pastries, and other baked goods.
Bread is one of the most common baked goods, but many other forms of food can also be baked. Numerous cuisines, ranging from cakes, cookies, and pretzels to pizzas, lasagne, and baked potatoes, can be baked and enjoyed in an oven. The options for baked goods, whether sweet or savoury, are infinite. Pies, for example, can be made sweet and savoury — apple pie, sugar pie, steak pie, and quiche, delicious. So, what will you be baking today? Regardless of what it is, be sure to share it with your loved ones.

Invite your significant other
Bake the food by yourself and present it to the recipient later, or invite them to participate in the baking process. Each appears acceptable. However, the former appears sweeter.
Spread it
