Mangaluru, Jul 16: Campus Front of India has been denied permission to hold a rally from Jyothi to Town Hall by the Mangaluru Police.
The state committee of Campus Front of India is conducting a ‘Girls’ conference here at Town hall on Saturday, July 16, with a tagline ‘ensure freedom of choice and uphold democratically values’. After they were denied permission, the girls gathered at Milagres for a rally to the Town Hall. Police Commissioner N Shashikumar convinced them and sent them to Town Hall in a bus.
Permission was given only for the program but not for the rally. However, girls were adamant to continue to hold their rally, Police Commissioner N Shashikumar warned them that they would be denied permission to hold the program as well before they were sent in a bus to the Town Hall.
The students alleged that the government had stopped their rally through police intervention.
