Disney+ 2023 – A Premium Passport to Enchantment: Unlocking the Vault

Hulu's ad-free package, previously $14.99 per month, will now cost you $17.99 per month.

Disney+ 2023: Hello, Disney buffs! Just so you know, Disney+ is going through a price change. The premium ad-free tier will increase to $13.99 on October 12 from the current $10.99. Hulu’s ad-free package, previously $14.99 per month, will now cost you $17.99 per month.

Here’s the good news, though! Disney is now offering a Premium Duo package. Disney+ and Hulu’s commercial-free packages can be purchased together for just $19.99. Additionally, beginning in the month of November, our friends in Europe and Canada will be able to subscribe to Disney+’s $8 ad-supported tier.

Disney+ 2023 – A Premium Passport to Enchantment

In May, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced a price hike for the company’s streaming service. Disney CEO Bob Iger announced at the most recent quarterly results call that the price of the premium, commercial-free tier of Disney+ would increase to $13.99 on October 12.

This is the second price increase of $3 in the past year, bringing the total cost of membership to $10.99. The previous increase occurred in December. Hulu has raised the price of its commercial-free plan from $14.99 to $17.99 per month.

Despite the huge increase in price, Disney is offering discounts to customers who are willing to bundle their services. The brand-new Duo Premium membership grants subscribers access to both Disney+ and Hulu’s ad-free premium tiers for a single low monthly price of $19.99.

Disney also said that its $8 ad-supported tier, which it first debuted in the US last year, will be available in Europe and Canada starting in the month of November.

Even more encouragingly, Iger noted that Disney is “actively exploring ways to address account sharing and the best options for paying subscribers to share their accounts with friends and family.” The company plans to roll out the new policies sometime in 2024.

Finally, Disney is investigating better account sharing management options. So, keep a watch out for new regulations in 2024 if you’ve been inviting friends or family to use your account. The Disney family appreciates having you.
