Curry is the child of Dell Curry and Sonya Curry. It was in Akron, Ohio, that he was born. His father played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. His father spent most of his NBA career playing for the Charlotte Hornets. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dell often went to Curry’s games with him and his younger brother Seth. During warm-ups, they would shoot hoops with the Hornets. The family moved to Toronto for a short time, and Dell played his last minutes for the Raptors there.

He played for the Queensway Christian College boys’ basketball team and helped them go undefeated at this point.
