Jharkhand Congress plans big ministerial rejig after suspension of three MLAs

The Jharkhand Congress is in the spotlight as a result of the political uproar that followed the arrest of three party MLAs by Bengal police for possessing large amounts of cash.

After the trio were detained and a purported attempt to overthrow the government was thwarted, the party appeared to be serious. To file a Zero FIR against the three MLAs, party leader Rajesh Thakur personally accompanied legislators Anup Singh and Jaimangal Singh to the Argora police station.

Congress is likely to propose a motion to remove the arrested MLAs from office. Alamgir Alam, the minister for rural development and parliamentary affairs, Badal Patralekh, the minister for agriculture, Banna Gupta, the minister for health, and Rameshwar Oran, the former PCC who was given the finance and food and civil supplies ministries, are the four ministers from the Congress quota in the state. There are several rumours that the other three ministers may be asked to resign, with the exception of Alamgir Alam.

However, none of the ministers for Congress have officially stated that a reshuffle is likely. However, sources claimed that Avinash Pande, the state party’s in-charge, had been evaluating the ministers’ performance throughout each visit and meeting. It has been reported that the in-charge has received negative comments regarding the ministers. Party members and even lawmakers have publicly expressed frustration on numerous occasions because even the minister appointed from the Congress quota does not listen to their concerns. The ruling party has developed a grudge against ministers.
