Polaris Guitarist Ryan Siew Cause of Death: About his Career and Sufferings

On June 27, the band posted a message on their Instagram account announcing Ryan Siew's passing

Polaris Guitarist Ryan Siew Cause of Death: “Cause of Death for Ryan Siew” At the age of 26, Ryan Siew, the lead guitarist for the “Australian metalcore band Polaris,” passed away on June 19, 2023. On June 27, the band posted a message on their Instagram account announcing Ryan Siew’s passing, however they omitted to mention the cause of death.

Fans and acquaintances have theorized that it might have been connected to Siew’s battles with melancholy and fogginess, though.

In the past, Siew has been transparent about his issues with mental illness. He said on Instagram in January 2023 that he had been “working on myself” and was “no longer on any antidepressants” while posting a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed. Additionally, he claimed that “constant brain fog and lethargy” were no longer a part of his life.

What Is Brain Fog, the Cause of Death for Ryan Siew?

The phrase “brain fog” refers to a state of mental confusion or cloudiness. Numerous things, such as depression, anxiety, lack of sleep, and chronic illnesses, might contribute to it. Brain fog may occasionally be a sign of a more serious underlying disorder, such dementia or a brain tumor.

It is unknown whether Siew’s brain fog was brought on by a physical or mental health issue. But his passing has made the music industry’s mental health problem more prominent.

According to a 2019 research by the UK’s Music Industry Trust, one in four musicians suffered a mental health issue in the previous year.
