Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is $546 million, but it’s only worth $282 million in cash. Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah residents are unable to participate in Powerball. However, participation is open to residents of the remaining 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

The rules of Powerball

When the Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. EDT, you have a chance to win.

The multimillion-dollar payout increases with each rollover, and each ticket costs just $2 or $3, depending on whether or not the player wishes to participate.

Each Powerball ticket costs $2, while Powerball with Power Play costs $3, Powerball with Double Play costs $3, and Powerball L with Power Play and Double Play costs $4.

Obtain your ticket from a vendor. Each ticket has five A-to-E-labeled panels, allowing you to pay five times for each panel.
