On getting information, his 21-year-old son Sunil Kumar Giri alias Pappu reached the spot to rescue his father. Md. Anwar Hussain and Md Kalam left Kishore Giri and started assaulting Pappu. He was badly injured.

Kishore Giri, who fell ill in mourning of his young son, also passed away this year.
