S.P.(rural) Naushad Alam informing about the arrest said the boy, who is approaching 16 according to his claim, called his four friends senior to him and convinced them for rape. After the gang rape, he along with four others strangulated the girl to death and in order to hide her identification smashed her face with stone.
The incident was reported at Lapung police station on July 24 by the father of Somra Horo. S.P(rural) Alam informed that the incident took place when the girl was planting paddy in her crop field alone.
Producing the four adults during a press conference at his office, the S.P(rural) said the adult accused include Roshan Horo, Sukhram Horo, Rahul Horo and Pawan Horo. He said except Sukhram Horo, who was earlier arrested in a case of murder none of the accused had criminal record.
S.P (rural) Alam said the police have used the stone used for crime and also recovered the mobile phone of the deceased.
