Rapper Gillie Da Kid’s Son YNG Cheese Fatally Shot: On the evening of Thursday, July 20, three people were fatally shot in the Olney neighbourhood of the city, including the son of renowned local rapper and podcaster Gillie Da King.
A gunshot occurred near the intersection of Mascher Street and Nedro Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m.
A block away, the police discovered two gunshot victims, including Devin Spadey, 25, who had been struck in the back. Spadey was pronounced deceased at Einstein Medical Centre after these two patients were transported there.
According to numerous witnesses present at the crime scene, the 25-year-old victim was YNG Cheese, the son of Gillie.
Gillie is also known by the name Gillie Da Kid. The other two incident victims, a male aged 28 and a man aged 31, are both in stable condition at Einstein.
The police are still investigating who and why these three people were wounded. We have yet to hear from Gillie. Next Saturday night, he will be hosting Gillie Fest at Franklin Music Hall. To commemorate his birthday, a concert and a comedy show will be held.
