Taylor Hurt was an expert chef by profession. She moved to Brooklyn, New York, after working as a sous chef at the Birdhouse Café and Cotton Blues in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. As a former employee of Latina Pastificio and Vino, a trendy Italian bar known for its homemade pasta, cocktails, and beer, she was a local expert.

Taylor published her own original recipes in the cookbook titled “Be Nourished.” She has some experience in the hospitality industry from her time working in restaurants in New York City. As mentioned here, Taylor was injured in a car accident.

Many have speculated that Taylor may have died of an overdose due to her family’s mysterious silence about the circumstances of her death.

This is a delicate matter, but it has not been confirmed at this time, so it should not be taken seriously. On Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., funeral services for Taylor were held at the Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi.

The funeral and burial took place at Ellison Ridge Cemetery, with Reverend Brandiilyne Mangum-Dear officiating both. Taylor Hurt, a native of Hattiesburg, was a renowned chef at the Brooklyn eatery LaRina Pacifico & Vino. In addition, she has a wealth of experience as chief and head supervisor at the infamous Black Sheep Café and Speakeasy.
